Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place the cherry tomatoes in an oven-safe baking dish. Pour on the olive oil, and sprinkle on salt and pepper. Toss until the tomatoes are well coated.
Place the feta block in the middle of the baking dish.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the cherry tomatoes burst, and the feta cheese melts.
While the tomatoes and feta are baking, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water.
When the tomatoes are burst, use the back of a wooden spoon to smash the tomatoes and the cheese into a sauce.
Add the cooked pasta, garlic, and basil to the dish. Toss to combine with the cheese and tomatoes.
